Adjust permissions to see report of admin user

Hi…

I have successfully installed GVM 20.8 on CentOS 8. How can user XYZ see the completed scan reports of admin user? I have tried by assigning get_reports and get_users permission but didn’t work. Please someone help on this.

Thank you.

Hi,

Are there any feeds imported and seen in the UI through default admin account?
If not, then follow this guide:

After setting the feed import owner, do all of the necessary sync:
greenbone-nvt-sync
greenbone-feed-sync --type GVMD_DATA
greenbone-feed-sync --type CERT
greenbone-feed-sync --type SCAP

Best wishes,

Also maybe Your XYZ user does not have enough permissions. Easiest way to set them is through GSA.

Hi… i can see all feeds with default admin account. such as
greenbone-nvt-sync
greenbone-feed-sync --type GVMD_DATA
greenbone-feed-sync --type CERT
greenbone-feed-sync --type SCAP

For default admin account just admin role not superuser role.

Thank you!

Right, the Default Admin account should have Superuser permision to allow XYZ user appropriate permissions. please let me know how can i enable/assign superuser permission to default admin in GVM20.8 installed in Linux.

Thank you.

I don’t have much experience in GVM… i read about enabling superuser somewhere in community portal. can anyone please tell possible way to get the work done.

Thank you.

Hi,

Terribly sorry for the long reply, I have been very busy these past few weeks.
You can edit the role of an user in the user interface. Go to Administration -> Users And click on edit icon for the desired user. There You should be able to edit the role of the XYZ user.

Best wishes,
