Connection to Greenbone not working via tls

and /var/lib/gvm too.

Okay, did that for the entire directory. Now I get this error:
pidfile_create: failed to open pidfile: Permission denied

I am sorry it’s not /var/run/gvm. Please check also /var/run/ directly. Your user needs to be able to create /var/run/gvmd.pid, /var/run/gvmd.sock and /var/run/openvassd.sock.

It was still named openvassd.pid for me. I changed the permissions there as well now but same issue persists. It’s probably because only the root user is allowed to write into /var/run/

Is there a way to create a directory in /var/run/ and make gvmd create the pid file there?

I managed to make it run under the user. I have no idea how, as I just repeated the same steps in this thread for the nth time, but it worked.
