Feed Update tops out at 200kbit/s

Hello,

I’ve just upgraded OpenVAS to GVM on Kali (Community Feed). Since upgrading I noticed that feeds take ages to update and speeds max out at ~200kbit/s.
Is that limit set by your server?
If yes why and is that going to be a permanent setting?

Best regards

The community feed is limited due to the high amount of sync to give every user a fair speed.

I understand that but 200kbit/s is a little bit on the slow side if you have to sync about 1GB of feeds. The old community feed (rsync://feed.openvas.org:/nvt-feed) was ~40Mbit/s. I’m just wondering why the new feed is 200 times slower.

You got rsync that is significant faster syncing deltas.
