@DeeAnn Thank you for reporting to myself and the Greenbone community on the rsync issues.

Just installed this software but it failed.
I’ve got a message saying:
“run user -u -gvm – greenbone-feed-sync – type CERT”
So I run it but again getting several errors 100, 101, 137.
Failed to connect to the feed, network is un reachable, error in socket 10.

Same issue here… I’m seeing this traffic with Wireshark.

Again issue here…Impossible to update anything

receiving incremental file list
[Receiver] io timeout after 10 seconds – exiting
rsync error: timeout in data send/receive (code 30) at io.c(204) [Receiver=3.1.3]

Do you have another repository ? seems to be down or very slow so the feed status is outdated !

Can this be temporarily hosted or pulled from somewhere else? If not, is there a possible way to get the web portal portion up and running while this issue gets fixed?

The Service is back and no longer overloaded, so please read here before you force to upgrade:

still getting the error when running the gvm-feed-update, brand new install synconnect 1 but getting timeout.

Do you have the right server ?

Do you share your connection ? If you send me your public IP via private mail i can look it up …

yes dns is resolving to the correct ip

Are you using a shared IP or your own private ? You need to ensure that not more then 10 TCP connection attempts are made within one minute.

just me, im running the default script gvm-feed-update, no changes were made. Is there an issue with the script?

currently when running ping -c 4 100% loss time is 3065ms

connection timed out again…

I am building a new server and getting this error still. Do I also have to wait 24 hours as well?

@zachparr @Dracolitch Please see here, I hope this is solved for you: Important: IP and bandwith limitations on Community Feed

Thank you. I have a dedicated connection at my location. I waited a day and it now seems to be working. Is there a way to cache this data on my side and move it to multiple servers without having to do a pull every time?
