Since it is not possible to update the Greenbone Community Edition what are our alternatives if we desire to update to a new release? Would it be viable to backup all of the information in a current release and then restore it after we setup the new release?
Is there any other option ?This seems like a weird restriction being placed on OSS.
The Greenbone Community Edition is derived from our GSM products. When buying one of our products you are funding the development of our free software for the Greenbone Source Edition (GSE). Therefore the Greenbone Community Edition virtual machine is only a reduced version with a smaller distinct use case and it is not an alternative to our products.
