As the web UI of this Greenbone appliance does not handle the proxy settings properly, I’d tried to use the command line

  export RSYNC_PROXY=myInternalProxy:8080
  greenbone-nvt-sync --verbose

which leads, of corse, to major permission denied issues.

What is the correct way to update the the NVTs ? The sudo way seems to be blocked.

Any pointers appreciated!

Please note only the GSF can be synchronized via PROXY, you can´t do it with the community feed. Please connect the GCE direct to the internet.
