High IOPS on File Server using WMI services

Hi All,

We have a about 200 servers and we use to scan groups of 50 each.
Each group scan takes about 1 to 2 hours.

Our problem: one of the servers is a File Server with a 1Tb disk and millions of small files.
When the scan starts, this server gets high IOPS (WMI services) and continues for about 8 hours.

Question:
How can we configure the scan to not check all that files?
Can we enable this scan option: disable_wmi_search?

Hi Ironmar,
if you enable the option disable_wmi_search in you configuration, VTs aiming to do wmi queries / searches will not run. So, yes.
