Job for gvmd.service failed because the control process exited with error code

Help!
I am receiving the following error when running “gvmd-start” on Kali Linux:
Job for gvmd.service failed because the control process exited with an error code. See “systemctl status gvmd.service” and “journalctl -xe” for details.

Btw I am running kali linux on Virtualbox.

Please note Kali is NOT GOS, you need to install the GCE to be able to run a turn-key installation without this hurtles.

Following this given hint should already give some ideas why the gvmd doesn’t start. You can also have a look at the gvmd.log (probably somewhere in /var/log/).

Note that such basic knowledge how to debug services are an absolute minimum if you want to operate a complex software like GVM. An alternative is the already mentioned GCE.
