I installed OpenVAS on the ESXI server in scada network without internet access. I opened a one-time internet access and did a feed update. feed update finished. I’m scanning in a classic way, the scan ends successfully, I see “done”. but there is nothing in the results. Im waiting for your support.

I have recently migrated my previous Openvas-8 to Openvas-9 and I have some issues with the vulnerability results of existing tasks. Openvas-9 is running on linux mint 19 64bits.
With openvas-8; vulnerabilities found appears with their friendly name, as expected, both on the GSA console and in the csv reports.
With openvas-9; many vulnerabilities (but not all) appears with their NVT references (eg; [126.96.36.199.4.1.256188.8.131.524485]), both on GSA and in the csv reports.
I am making my first steps in vulnerability testing. I installed OpenVAS9 inside a docker container using maiksplain/openvas image. It is running on Ubuntu 18.04.
When I applied the setup check almost everything gives OK except the following warnings:

I’m a newbie regarding OpenVAS that I have installed on a kali-linux VirtualMachine.
My Kali VM and my target VM=WindowsServer2008R2 are both on the same network (10.0.10.0/24);
they can ping together also.
I created a target with 10.0.10.1 IP address => IP of WinServer VM
I created a task using this target (scan config= full and fast)
scan start (play button) : “done” after less than 30s and no results (empty) ! why ?
I have tried to declare a credential (WindowsServer local admin acc…
Thanks for moving my post to the correct list. I have just tested to perform a new scan on my local network with openvas-9, and surprisingly there is 0 results. The scan seems to perform OK, but I find very very suspicious that nothing at all is reported, as if all hosts were dead. There should be a problem in my installation with my feeds.
I’ve launched the openvas setup script with --v9 but there is no error. Where else should I check ?
If not, please try to provide more information like:
What scan config did you use?
Is there any suspicious log entry?
The problem discussed here is most likely caused by either the problem described in a second thread created by
@akifkeskin in I see a warning when I connect to the console or by one of the threads linked above.
To avoid having duplicated posts open about similar issues i’m closing this thread for now. Please let me know if the problem persists after solving the issue in the other thread and after reviewing the resources previously given and we could re-open this topic again.
