Not able to install greenbone-security-assistant

Hi All,

I am not able install greenbone-security-assistant in ubuntu 16 by below command:

apt-get install greenbone-security-assistant

Getting below error:
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
E: Unable to locate package greenbone-security-assistant

Please help me

I have no Issues on Debian Buster.
What OS are you using?

Ubuntu 16.04 seems to just not provide these packages:

https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=greenbone-security-assistant

You probably have to either build a more recent GVM version like 20.08 from sources or look around for 3rdparty repositories.

Note that a migration to Ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04 doesn’t make sense because the plain Ubuntu repository of these Ubuntu versions are only shipping an End of Life and Outdated version of GVM.

Unfortunately this is in German and for Ubuntu 20.04 but the sequences might be very similar.
