Restart gvmd needed after feed update?

Hi

Do we need to restart gvmd after the feed update in gvm 20.08 ? or the updating of nvt, scap and cert done automatically ?

I see that ‘gvmd: Syncing SCAP:’ takes too long to update .

A restart of gvmd (previously openvasmd) was never required and is still not required. If you’re using the sync scripts greenbone-nvt-sync and greenbone-feed-sync provided with GVM all feed updates happen automatically in the background (given that all GVM components like gvmd and ospd-openvas are in a working state and up and running).
