When a stopped tasked is resumed, it does not actually rusume/scans the remaining Vulns, it directly schows status to Done. In scanned log it shows that the host is excluded.
Please try to provide as much details as possible in an initial post, this could include e.g. used Linux-Distro, versions of the GVM components in use and similar information which could help other readers to help you.
Currently even the version of OpenVAS/GVM you’re using is missing. This is the absolute minimum which should be provided.

I am using Kali-4.18.0-kali2-amd64, and i have build OpenVAS/GVM from the latest source code. So the Version for OV is OpenVAS Scanner 6.0+beta3, and GVM is Greenbone Vulnerability Manager 9.0+alpha~git-f3ef4397-master.
Please note that those are development versions not officially released and where all the development is happening. Such versions might show unexpected behavior or could even break/be in a temporary unusable state at any time.
For productive use it is strongly suggested to stay with the official announced source code releases in About the Greenbone Community Edition category - Greenbone Community Edition - Greenbone Community Forum.
