How can I set the timezone of the VM? my scan reports show the time in UTC and I need them in GMT/BST
That is correct, you configure the timezone for every user within the GVM, internally everything is UTC, so many users from different timezones can work on one instance.

Sorry if I am being thick but I cant see any way of setting a user’s timezone in either interface.
