I am unable to remove some permissions objects out of the trashcan.
When I click on X only message:
“Failed to find permission” will occurs.
The only difference between permissions I can delete and which fails, are the text
“(null)” in the subject column.

Same problem here. In my case this appears progressively after several GVM upgrades (from 9 to 11, 11 to 20, etc…) and in particular the switch from SQLite to PostgreSQL after gvm11.
I don’t think there is any way to address this via the GUI; probably the only (and very dangerous) option is to directly purge orpheans objects in the database.
In my case I also switch from version to version with the installation. But always stay on pgsql.
