I have a problem to ask everyone. That’ s when update openvas on kali linux beforece, I need update more Kali ?

When choosing the category for a topic please try to have a look at the category description for each category first:

The current used category is/was https://community.greenbone.net/c/vulnerability-tests (Description: About the Vulnerability Tests category) which is about vulnerability tests (the so called “NASL scripts”).

As you’re asking a question on how to update GVM which is completely unrelated to the vulnerability tests itself the category https://community.greenbone.net/c/gse (Description: About the Source Edition (GSE) category) needs to be chosen.

Greenbone doesn’t provide packages for any distribution besides our own Greenbone OS which is only available in our products. I don’t think the Kali packagers are active here so you should contact them via other channels to request an update.

i dont know if that was his question, but my question is, could i update the Source Edition when the next update comes with install the new version over the old? or must i install greenbone with an new version completly new?

You are completely self responsible if you are using the source edition. So you need to update the code and adjust the setup for required changes by yourself. But of course this is possible as we are doing this in our products.
