I had a problem when I used the gvm-feed-update command and apparently the problem is with my IP because using VPN my problem was solved.
Now my question is whether my country’s IP is blocked by Greenbone? (I live in Iran)
And my other question is, is it okay to use a VPN to use this command? Isn’t that against Greenbone regulations?
We do not block any feed sync or limit specific IP addresses. Please ensure that you have full internet access, you Company/SP/Government/Country might put a transparent proxy in between that could limit your sync functionality.
We only allow ONE source IP address per feed sync TCP session. That´s all. If you are on a shared proxy you need to get real internet otherwise only one sync is possible.
So is it okay to use VPN to solve the problem?
