I know there has a very convenient tool which can let me know if installation complete. it’s name is openvas-check-setup
but I don’t know where can I download it ?
here is a url but now is 404:
https://svn.wald.intevation.org/svn/openvas/trunk/tools/openvas-check-setup
Hi, when choosing the category for a topic please try to have a look at the category description for each category first:
The current used category is/was https://community.greenbone.net/c/vulnerability-tests (Description: About the Vulnerability Tests category) which is about vulnerability tests (the so called “NASL scripts”).
Based on your questions it seems to be relevant to a setup tool provided in the past where the https://community.greenbone.net/c/gse (Description: About the Source Edition (GSE) category) is fitting.
I have moved the topic to the correct category for now.
openvas-check-setup isn’t developed anymore. There is also no replacement for this tool because it didn’t offer much value for debugging and further advices.
This tool is outdated and unmaintained. It was moved to the attic:
https://wald.intevation.org/scm/viewvc.php/branches/tools-attic/openvas-check-setup
sorry,I can’t find openvas-check-setup from the link https://wald.intevation.org/scm/viewvc.php/branches/tools-attic/openvas-check-setup. Can you give me another link or other way to test if installation complete?
You should not use openvas-check-setup anymore because
Old svn sources can be found at https://svn.wald.intevation.org/svn/openvas
so what is the NEW tool to use for setup and checking?
There is no replacement. The setup is done by your distribution/package provider.
