Scans run but reports come back with no findings and severity "Error"

Hi,

the logging configuration can be found / is documented in the INSTALL file shipped with the sources of each component (see below).

One important note as no used versions of OpenVAS/GVM 9 was provided yet:

Recently i have seen quite a lot user reporting issues but still running outdated versions of the OpenVAS/GVM components. Please compare your current used versions with the GVM-9 (stable, initial release 2017-03-07) ones to avoid that you’re having issues caused by such outdated versions.

By default Manager writes logs to the file


<install-prefix>/var/log/openvas/openvasmd.log


Logging is configured entirely by the file


<install-prefix>/etc/openvas/openvasmd_log.conf


The configuration is divided into domains like this one

prepend=%t %p
prepend_time_format=%Y-%m-%d %Hh%M.%S %Z
file=/var/log/openvas/openvasmd.log
level=128


The "level" field controls the amount of logging that is written.

It may contain useful information.The exact location of this file may differ
depending on your distribution and installation method. Please have this file
ready when contacting the GVM developers through the OpenVAS mailing list
or the online chat or submitting bug reports at
