Container Tasks

Hello y’all,

in my GSA, I can create a Container Task. In the GSM manual, page 290 (10.5 Using Container Tasks) there is a description on how to use them. But some things are still unclear to me.
Are these just to import reports from other machines? I don’t quite understand what these are or what the use case would be. Is there a more detailed explanation available anywhere?

Hi,

container tasks are just some “storage area” for importing reports. You can’t start or manage scans within a container task. Only view imported reports of scans.
