FYI: Warning message when old vulnerability tests are removed from feed

Hi! We’d like to let you know that occasionally we will remove some VTs from the Greenbone Community Feed (GCF) and this could lead to warning messages in the log files of ospd-openvas when starting scans. Here is an example:

Jan 04 10:03:20 gsm ospd-openvas[1201]: OSPD596] WARNING: (ospd_openvas.preferencehandler) The VT 1.3.6.1.4.1.25623.1.0.11016 was not found and it will not be added to the plugin scheduler.

After rebooting the system, the warnings should not occur anymore. In some cases it might require to run command "gvmd --rebuild" until this warning disappears.

There should be no further effects in your setup other than the VT details disappear from the database and the VTs themselves are pretty old and/or deprecated.

Thanks!
