Tests stop if ICMP echo request does not work

Hi Team,
I installed the greenbone OS and the tool was very useful to me, thank you for your work.
I witnessed some ‘funny’ behavior , if a target does not reply to an echo request at the beginning of the analyzis then it does not continue and consider the host dead.

A server could block the ‘pings’ explicitly , other services can run and could be analyzed.
is it a wanted behavior from greenbone? Could it be changed?

Have a look at the different Alive Test settings. Which one suites your needs depends highly on your environment.
